1. Quotes & Estimates
Written estimates are valid for 30 days from issue and itemize materials, labour and timeline. Verbal approximations are indicative only and never binding.
2. Booking & Scheduling
A 25% booking deposit secures your project slot. Start dates may shift by up to 10 working days due to weather (exterior work) or permit timelines; you'll be notified immediately of any change.
3. Payments
Projects are billed by milestone. Each phase invoice is due within 7 days of your approval, with the final 10% payable only after your satisfaction sign-off. Late payments beyond 30 days may incur a 1.5% monthly service charge.
4. Warranty
All workmanship is warrantied for 3 years from completion. Manufacturer warranties on materials are passed to you in full. Wear, tear and client-requested alterations are excluded.
5. Cancellations
Cancellations more than 14 days before the start date receive a full deposit refund. Within 14 days, costs already incurred (materials ordered, permits filed) are deducted from the refund.
6. Change Orders
Any change to the agreed scope — added rooms, upgraded materials, layout revisions — must be requested in writing and priced in a written change order before work begins. Verbal requests to crew members on site are not binding, and no changes are billed without your signed approval.
7. Site Access & Preparation
Homeowners are asked to clear work areas of personal belongings, secure pets, and ensure reasonable access and power on scheduled work days. Home Paint Guide provides dust containment and daily clean-up, but cannot be held responsible for items left inside the marked work zone.
8. Permits & Building Codes
Where permits are required, we file them on your behalf and all work is performed to local building codes, which take precedence where they exceed the agreed specification. Failed inspections caused by our work are corrected at our expense, including any re-inspection fees.
9. Weather & Unforeseen Delays
Exterior work (roofing, siding, gutters, solar, lawn) may pause during unsafe weather, and hidden conditions — outdated wiring, water damage, structural surprises discovered after opening walls — may require a change order. We communicate every delay the same day it becomes known and adjust the schedule transparently.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. If a disagreement arises, we ask that you contact our resolution manager first — most are settled within days. Anything unresolved goes to mediation before arbitration or court, with each party bearing its own costs unless otherwise awarded.
